Yolanda Flusk Jacobs stopped to at the Zevenwacht Engen garage on her way home from celebrating her 50th; a petrol attendant made her day even better.
Stellenbosch, South Africa – Yolanda Jacobs celebrated her 50th last month, and after her celebrations, she was left in awe by a generous and kind petrol attendant.
Yolanda and her mother stopped at the Engen garage in Zevenwacht. As Yolanda was getting out her car, Life a petrol attendant on duty saw her mother holding a cake and asked if it was a birthday cake. Yolanda told him it was and that she was celebrating her fiftieth.
Life was surprised and went on to compliment Yolanda, saying she didn’t look that age. After some back and forth about her day, Life ran off and asked her to wait where she was.
He then came back out and handed her R50.00. Life gave her the money as a birthday gift. His selfless and kind act left Yolanda speechless. She was deeply moved by his generosity towards her, a total stranger.
She shared her encounter on Facebook, and it has since been shared over five thousand times. People have been inspired by the story. It gives everyone those feel-good vibes.
“So last night on my way back from celebrating my 50th birthday at Spier I stopped at Engen garage, Zevenwacht. My mom had my birthday cake on her lap so the petrol attendant by the name of Life, asked if it was a birthday cake. I replied that it’s my 50th birthday cake. He didn’t believe me, said it could not be true. After convincing him that I’m really 50 he said to me, “wait don’t go yet”, ran off and came back with a R50 note, a birthday gift for me.
What a selfless deed. Someone, not thinking twice to share his little with someone else. Life is an angel. I pray that God will always bless him abundantly and that he will be blessed with a long, happy and prosperous life.
This is Life, the petrol attendant at Engen Zevenwacht
Sincerity without a doubt”
