pre-school

Natasha was incredibly worried about her little cousin who had missed her first few days of pre-school as her parents couldn’t pay the fees… but she came up with a plan to help the family!

Tshani Village, Transkei Wild Coast – Natasha didn’t want her little cousin missing out on an important schooling opportunity just because of a lack of fees. She decided to come up with a plan to help her cousin get into school.

She asked the team at Cool Bananas, a spaza shop in her village, if she could put a collection tin on their shop counter to collect coins for the pre-school fees. The fees were only R220.00 for the year which is not a large sum for most, but a fee that this family desperately needed.

Within no time, the “Tin Idea” collected all the funds needed and Lomso’s got to start school!

“When little Lomso didn’t have money for Pre-School and missed her very first day, her cousin Natasha was very distressed … with the good heart Natasha has, she came up with a plan to help her cousin out and put her into class yesterday!!!

The Cool Bananas Kids all agreed with Natasha to open up the Children’s Tin on the Shop counter, and low and behold there was enough for Lomso’s School fees of R220 for the year!!!

We would like to thank each and every one of you who contributed to the Children’s Tin in the Shop, we were also able to purchase some Christmas clothes and school uniforms too!!!”

People have been deeply moved by Natasha’s efforts and have asked if they could refill the tin. There is no information yet if this is possible but you can stay tuned to “Cool Bananas” Facebook page for more information.

Two beautiful girls… Natasha, what a special young lady you are. Also, setting a wonderful example for others to follow at such a young age. xx” – Lynn Lourens
