booties

The Angel Network called on all knitters to use their talent to help keep prem babies warm this winter by knitting tiny booties for charity.

Johannesburg, South Africa – The Angel Network called on anyone with the ability to knit, to help them keep prem babies warm this winter. They requested beanies and booties, which they plan to hand out at hospitals across Johannesburg.

Already hundreds of little beanies and booties have been dropped off with the charity — warming not only the tiny little heads and feet of prem babies but also our hearts. The booties will be given to babies born prematurely or critically ill.

The Angel Network was started to give a hand up to orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa by assisting with food, clothing, housing and education. Today they support hundreds of individuals and charitable organisations, giving a better chance at life in South Africa.

They have given potential donors three options to assist, for those who cannot knit but wish to get involved, they ask for you to purchase prem beanies and booties. For those who knit, to knit the beanies and booties and for those who are not in the Johannesburg area, to donate funds which will be used to purchase the requested items.

They are still in need of more so if you would like to get involved, you can contact the Angel Network via Facebook here.
