Battling health challenges from a young age, the selfless acts of kindness by Reach For A Dream lit up Yanga’s world and gave her memories that will shine forever in her heart.

Durban, South Africa (16 August 2024) – In a world filled with so much chaos, sickness and sorrow the Reach For A Dream Foundation emerged as a beacon of light.

The Reach for A Dream Foundation went above and beyond to put a smile on a little girl’s face, spoiling her with her heart’s desires.

Yanga who is a shy and reserved girl with a radiant smile was treated to an adventure that began at Electric Avenue at Gateway in Durban, where the thrill of racing cars and virtual motorcycles brought out her playful side.

“As she got caught up in the fun, her laughter filled the air. The next stop was Spur, where Yanga delighted in her favourite meal, savouring every bite,” the foundation shared online.

But the real magic happened when Yanga was presented with her biggest wish – a new cellphone! Many of us can recall the thrill of receiving our first mobile phone, instantly elevating our “cool status” and granting us the freedom to connect with friends whenever our hearts desire.

At first, Yanga couldn’t believe her dream had come true, but the moment she realised it was real, her eyes lit up with sheer happiness.

“Tears of joy streamed down her face as she expressed how unforgettable this day was and how deeply we had touched her heart.”

Reach For A Dream is dedicated to alleviating the burdens of sick children and their families by providing these dreamers with the opportunity to believe in their greatest wish.

Through simple pleasures and heartfelt gestures, they transformed a Yanga’s day into a cherished memory, reminding us of the profound impact compassion can have on a young life.
