Raylin Robertson is a dance trainee from New World Dance Theatre in Cape Town. After a performance at the UCT School of Dance, her partner did a surprise proposal and it had us in tears!
Cassi Lowers and Raylin Robertson got engaged in April 2017. Cassi set up the entire surprise proposal with the help of the New World Dance Theatre (NWDT) co-directors.
Cassi knew that Raylin had a studio concert at UCT School of Dance in Cape Town and decided to set up the entire surprise there so she wouldn’t know that it was going to happen. Cassi got a videographer to film the perfomance and the proposal at the end.
Raylin is one of the trainees in this dance company. So together with the co-directors of NWDT, a photographer, a videographer, and a few family members and friends, Cassi was able to pull off a surprise proposal and capture this amazing moment.

The performance in itself was beautiful but watching the proposal had us in tears. The reaction of all the dancers around the happy couple made the moment even more magical. The room was buzzing with excitement.
