The students of Trinity House filled a bakkie and then some, with love and donations; the donations will help CLAW touch hundreds of lives!
Johannesburg, South Africa (16 May 2023) – Community-Led Animal Welfare (CLAW) received a huge surprise at a recent donation collection. The students from Trinity House Little Falls in Roodepoort started collecting donations for the animal charity and when they had enough, they called to get CLAW to collect. What was so incredible is that they filled the entire bakkie with much-needed goods.
CLAW has spent the last two decades working in impoverished communities where traditional veterinary services are often unavailable. It provides desperately needed veterinary services to dogs and cats, as well as vital animal care education to pet owners in Johannesburg’s poorest township areas.
CLAW has not only established a reputation for helping animals within townships; the organisation works closely with community-based organisations, schools, the Department of Agriculture and veterinary services around the city. They distribute food parcels, facilitate home-based care programmes to teach people how to care for the sick and dying, run food gardens, support child-headed households and help communities to access health and hospice care.
The massive amount of donations received from the school will go a long way to addressing the many needs in many communities!
“A monster shout out of thanks to all involved from Trinity House Little Falls
They did a charity drive and collected our most needed items like towels, blankets, newspaper, dog and cat food, brooms, mops and cleaning materials…
This was such a full load that once the load bay of our bakkie was full, we had to put goodies onto the front seat…
To each and every person involved we Thank You enormously”
