rightful owner

Cheyenne Grobler, 24 found a ring in the bathroom of Sandton City and posted it online hoping the rightful owner comes forward to collect it.

Cheyenne Grobler and her friend were at Sandton City when they found a precious ring on the toilet roll stand in the food court bathroom. Cheyenne grabbed the ring and ran through the mall to try to find the woman who had walked out of the stall before her.

She had no luck finding the woman in the busy mall so she went to the customer service desk to ask if anyone had come forward. Sadly, nobody had asked about the ring.

She knew she needed to hang onto the special ring and search for the owner herself. She then took to Facebook hoping that the post would be shared far and wide enough to reach the rightful owner.

“Found a ring in the bathroom by the food court in Sandton city… I know it seems like a small thing, but it means something to someone… just trying to find the owner” – Cheyenne Grobler

There is a special detail about the ring that only the owner would know about. The detail is the one thing that Cheyenne has left out of the description as this is how she will know the rightful owner of the ring.

People have been sharing her post and thanking her for her honesty. Some on the post suggested that Cheyenne sell the ring but she insists her morals are deeply ingrained in doing the right thing and will hang onto the ring for as long as it takes to find the woman it belongs to.

Her story has become so popular that eNCA even featured it on the evening news but the owner has yet to be confirmed.

If you know who the ring belongs to, or are the owner of the ring, you can contact Cheyenne on Facebook here. The only way the ring will be let go is if the special detail can be described. Note: the detail is not visible in the image above.

Cheyenne, thank you for working so hard to reunite the ring with the rightful owner.
