uniform autistic

Siboniso’s dream has come true as he just started school for the first time and it is all thanks to everyone that donated to his education fund.

Siboniso’s story moved us to tears, his dream was to attend a real school. Siboniso is 11-years-old and was diagnosed with autism. Due to his family’s financial situation, he was unable to attend a special needs school as the fees were far too expensive.

So each day, he put on his uniform, laced up his perfectly polished shoes and picked up his bag filled with books. He walked over to a shady spot under the tree next to his house and sat down to do his schooling all alone.

His story touched thousands of hearts last year and we are so happy to share that he had his first day of school this week. The Angel Network shared an image of Siboniso and his dad at the school together.

Thanks to donations, that Angel Network was able to fund his schooling and they are so grateful for everyone that assisted to make Siboniso’s dream come true.

“To each and every person who donated to Siboniso, the 11 year old autistic child who desperately wanted to go to school and used to sit under a tree watching his peers at school, THANK YOU! SIYABONGA! NKOSI KAKULU! DANKIE! GRACIAS! MERCI BEAUCOUP! TODA RABA!”

Their crowdfunding goal was to reach R 40,000.00 but they went far beyond that and managed to raise R 76 790.39. The extra funds are placed in a trust and will help Siboniso for many years to come.

The image isn’t the clearest but we are so happy to see Siboniso on his first day of school.
