One brave program manager from the Australian Nine News in Darwin showed the world her bravery by rescuing a snake from behind her colleagues computer.
Nine News in Darwin Australia had an eventful day in the office recently. It wasn’t because there was breaking news or anything work related. It was because a snake was discovered snoozing behind the senior cameraman’s computer in the office.
News Director Kate Limon started tweeting about it all. Starting off with the shocking discovery and working her way through to watching a colleague rescue and release the lost snake.
“My first suggestion to get rid of it was to burn the place down but no one else went for it,”
She then started googling snake specialists that could come and catch the snake and take it off to be released.
“I was googling (a snake catcher) to call ASAP but turns out our program manager is a wildlife warrior,”
“She lives on a property and wasn’t scared at all.
“In her bloody floral dress and heels — she put us all to shame.
“One of our sales executives also helped, he’s the one who the snake tried to bite the face off. “He was very brave too.”
She then tweeted another news broadcaster, NT News and said they had put snakes on the covers of their paper but Nine News caught snakes. The banter started between the news broadcaster with NT News replying “Snakes don’t come to our offices. The crocs keep them away”
