‘Hamilton and the Lamb’ is what they are calling this love story that is bringing joy to thousands! Hamilton works as a groom for the SPCA and a rescue has become deeply fond of him.
Cape Town, South Africa (03 September 2020) – It was love at first sight! A little lamb had been found abandoned in a ditch in Villiersdorp, Western Cape by an animal lover. The person scooped the little lamb up and drove it to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA.
They assessed the lamb and found that he was only two days old! Hamilton Kapanda, a groom with the SPCA horse care unit caught sight of the lamb and named him Kim. He then took him into his care and made sure he had everything he needed.
Kim immediately bonded with Hamilton and the pair became inseparable. They have spent the last month together while Kim has grown and become stronger. Hamilton has loved Kim so deeply, he has even stayed at the SPCA, sleeping over to make sure he gets fed every three hours. He does this all night, every night!
“Kim is thriving and growing so quickly and the bond between him and Hamilton is touching to experience. Little Kim follows Hamilton around wherever he goes and calls for him if he is out of sight.
Kim is ready for his new home now and there’s no doubt Hamilton will be on hand to ensure that he gets only the very best! If you would like to give Kim his forever home, please email insp1@spca-ct.co.za or call 0217004173.”
If you have the space and friends for Kim, you can reach out to adopt him with the information above. Take a look at some of the sweet images shared by the SPCA below.
