Dr Debbie is one of the many amazing SPCA vets in Cape Town that dedicates her life to caring for all the sickly and injured animals that come through the door.
Cape Town, South Africa – The Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) SPCA work tirelessly to protect domestic and wild animals in the Western Cape. They often save animals on the brink of death or remove animals from abusive and neglectful owners.
Dr Debbie is one of the amazing CoGH SPCA vets who is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of all animals in the organisations care. She has seen first hand the horrors of animal cruelty.
“She has been a critical member of the veterinary team, working hard to attend to the countless animals in need of her compassion and skill- from animals wounded in car accidents, farm animals in distress or performing much-needed sterilisations on pets- she offers the highest level of care at all times with a smile on her face and sometimes fabulous shades of eye-shadow!
In addition to her arduous daily schedule, Dr Debbie will also be running this year’s Old Mutual Two Oceans half marathon on the 20th of April 2019 for the love of animals.”
This year she is dedicating her run to stopping animal cruelty. She is raising funds as part of her efforts. All funds raised will go towards continuing the SPCA’s fight to stop animal cruelty. Dr Debbie will be joined by another dedicated vet as well as an inspector from the team.
They hope to raise R7000.00 which will go a long way for the hardworking organisation. If you would like to support the team, you can do so here.
