The warmer spring days are just around the corner and with them comes new hope for you all, a fresh start for many and changes for the better.

South Africa (01 September 2020) – The official Spring day is the 21st of September and with it comes an attitude that uplifts and makes everything seem so much better. The warm weather rolls in and becomes more reliable, flowers start to bloom, new life can be seen everywhere and the urge to start over kicks in.

Many use Spring as a marker to start fresh, shed the winter weight and clear a space in the home for the coming months. Spring cleaning kicks in full force as we have more energy and daylight to get things done.

Spring is the time for a change, and this is what you can do to make a change in South Africa.

In South Africa, we celebrate several important days in September. We have Arbor Week as well as Heritage Day. There are massive recycling days, environmental days, world heart day and pancake day. Using these days, we can do so much good for ourselves and others.

South Africa celebrates Arbor Week in the first week of September, the 1st to 7th, annually. Planting trees with friends and family is a great way to do more and to invite new life into your home.

Heritage Day, also known as Braai Day, is on the 24th of September. The day is used to celebrate the vibrant cultural melting pot that is our country. The day marks not only the heritage of our past but also our living heritage.

Clean-Up & Recycle SA Week will be taking place from 14-19 September 2020, culminating in National Recycling Day on Friday, 18 September and the International Coastal Clean-Up Day/Let’s Do It World Clean-up Day on Saturday, 19 September 2020.

Then World Heart Day falls on the 29th of September and for some fun, it is Pancake Day on the 26th in the USA but who says we can’t also have pancakes for breakfast?

We have a few good words for you all…

Spring is the time for fresh starts, take some time in the coming weeks to give yourself a fresh start. Let go of any stress or anger you may be holding onto, forgive those you can and make peace to move forward if you cannot forgive right now.

Also, forgive yourself. We have all been punishing ourselves for not doing more during lockdown; for not getting fit or mastering sourdough, for not connecting with friends and family more. There were many things we could have done but didn’t and that is okay!

We hope spring renews your energy, we hope it brings you a new hope for the future and we wish it is filled with good things! For those who lost their footing during the lockdown, we hope that the spring brings some balance and calm into your lives.

We wish everyone a well-deserved break whether that be quietly pottering at home or off touring our beautiful country.

Soak in the warm days, spend more time outside!

We cannot wait to see what goodness is brought in by the shift and we cannot wait to share it all with you too!
