4Paws is a struggling animal shelter’s in Diepsloot, a township near Steyn City. They have been pleading for help and Steyn City gladly assisted!
4Paws is one of the only animal shelter’s in Diepsloot, a township just a stone throw away from the modern Steyn City. The shelter managers have been left utterly distraught after the Health Department threatened to shut them down.
The shelter has been given an extensive list of repairs and requirements to tackle before the next inspection on the 10th of July 2017. Most importantly they need to construct a drainage system and septic tank to meet the requirements of the Health Department.
Should they fail, the shelter would be shut down and all 200 animals would be put to sleep, as they have nowhere else to go!
Steyn City heard the plight and decided to lend a helping hand by donating R10,000.00 to the shelter to help pay for the work needed. Steyn City has challenged other corporates in the Fourways area to also pledge to save the shelter.
“We are challenging other corporates in the Fourways area to match or beat our donation of R10,000 to this worthy cause.”
The shelter doesn’t only need financial assistance, they are desperate for volunteers to help them on weekends. They are also accepting any form of donations, anything that cannot be used for the animals can be sold to help raise much needed funds.
If you are able to assist in time, money or donations you can contact them via email here.
