Several men that attended the One SMALL Act of Kindness breakfast feeding scheme were treated to haircuts afterwards, a most-welcome surprise.

Johannesburg, South Africa (23 March 2023) – Several men that receive support from One SMALL Act of Kindness, were delighted when the team offered to give haircuts while they waited for their meals.

One SMALL Act of Kindness based in Johannesburg, works to support people most in need. They provide meals to the vulnerable people living on the streets each week from giant pots loaded into a trailer

One Small Act of Kindness was created and started from an idea on a Sunday night to help and assist communities and places that are missed or not assisted by other organisations. With more help and assistance from the communities, these places would be able to run a little more smoothly and assist or reach more than they are currently.

The aim is to assist old age homes, community foster homes, animal welfare, townships, locations, underprivileged nursery schools, and the homeless as well as shelters.

“IT FEELS GOOD TO FEEL GOOD!

Today was a busy Wednesday at the OSAOK HQ. We started the morning off with our usual morning breakfast feeding scheme after that our team got donations ready so that another charity could collect. Food parcels also needed to be prepared for 2 families.

AND the highlight of our day was the guys each got a haircut right outside our gate! And they absolutely loved it! Personal grooming is a luxury when you can’t even afford a meal for yourself. AND TODAY THE GUYS GOT BOTH!!! Thank you to Jason and Tshepo (2 of our very own staff members) for cutting the guys hair. We have so many different talents within our team and it feels great to be able to use them in making others happy!

TEAM WORK DEFINITELY MAKES THE DREAM WORK!!!” – One SMALL Act of Kindness

The organisation works tirelessly to support these men and women, giving them the opportunity to get through each day with a little extra kindness.

You can find out how to get involved as a volunteer or sponsor via Facebook here.
