A Krugersdorp man has had his faith in humanity restored through a small act of kindness, after his wallet was returned without a cent missing.

Gerhard Pretorius didn’t even realise he had lost his wallet while on his way to work. Before he had even arrived, Justice Zivengwa called him to say that he had found it.

Pretorius rides his motorbike most days but had forgotten to properly zip up when his wallet fell out. Zivengwa found the wallet in the road, picked it up & saw an invoice inside with a number on it. He called Pretorius and arranged to meet.

“As most of you know, I ride my motorcycle to work and back. Today I forgot to zip up properly and dropped my wallet whilst riding. Justice picked it up in the road and found my number on an invoice, he called me and gladly returned my wallet to me, he waited for almost an hour outside in the street to give it back.”

Pretorius couldn’t thank Zivengwa enough and reimbursed for his honesty and goodness.

“There are good people out there and this is just an example of a beautiful human being, helping another. Justice you are my hero. Please share far and wide so that South africa can see what a good soul this man has.”

It might just seem like a man had his wallet returned but in reality, even though it is the right thing to do… it’s not always what would happen.

It’s small acts of kindness like this that remind us that Ubuntu is real and hopefully inspire each other to be a little better.
