Officers of the Bogota Police Department in New Jersey took the time to grant the wish of South African born Reece, who is a fan of the police.

Bogota, New Jersey – Officers of the Bogota Police Department took the time to grant the wish of a South African who was visiting the area. According to the police department, Reece is a massive fan of law enforcement and desperately wanted to meet police officers from the USA.

The department was more than happy to invite him to join them for a meet and greet. They even let him wear one of their vests.

The department took to their Facebook page to share the heartwarming story, saying it was such a blessing to be able to inspire Reece who lives 9000 miles (14484.10 km) away in South Africa.

“Yesterday, we fulfilled a special request from a young man who lives 9,000 miles away in South Africa. Officer Jon Gallipoli met up with Reece, who has special needs. He has a deep love for law enforcement and wanted to meet a police officer from the USA while visiting locally.”

Seeing stereotypical stories of police in movies and TV shows, Reece wanted to also have doughnuts with the police officers. They once again obliged him and took him for a doughnut.

“He also wanted permission to eat doughnuts from Officer Gallipoli. Of course, he was given the permission to take a break from his police duties to have a Doughnut and also got to see what a real police vest feels like.”

What a lovely story of a South African dream coming true so far away from home.
