Western Cape, South Africa (25 June 2022) – Heartwarming stories like these remind us that people are inherently good, and to hear that this young child now has a home with loving parents brings all the feels!

Cheslyn John Brandt saw a young child digging in the rubbish bins in his street, looking for cans to recycle for food. He invited the child into his home and gave him something to eat. Brandt was so heartbroken and just couldn’t let that young South African face the world alone, so he decided to foster him with the hopes that one day he would be able to adopt.

Brandt shared the heartwarming story on his TikTok, which is capturing the nation’s hearts, giving us all the feels.

The video shows Brandt and his partner showering the young child with love.

“We decided to give him a second chance. Look at him. God changed our lives. This kid changed our lives. Such a blessing.”

The heartwarming video has since been taken down from social media due to the child’s safety and his anonymity, but we can tell you that this is a really good news story and the entire family is happy and healthy together.
