Keep singing! We are listening!!!

Global (08 March 2022) – A young Ukrainian girl named Amelia has gone viral after singing ‘Let It Go’ while taking cover in a shelter as Russian forces destroyed their homes, and the stars of Disney’s Frozen are taking notice.

The video, originally shared on Facebook last Thursday, shows Amelia serenading her neighbours in a shelter with the song “Let It Go” in Ukrainian.

Kristen Anderson-Lopez – the American songwriter and lyricist, known for co-writing the songs for the 2013 computer-animated musical film Frozen and its 2019 sequel Frozen II with her husband Robert Lopez – reached out to Amelia with a heartfelt post.

“Dear Little Girl with the beautiful voice, my husband and I wrote this song as part of a story about healing a family in pain. The way you sing it is like a magic trick that spreads the light in your heart and heals everyone who hears it. Keep singing! We are listening!”

Meanwhile, the film’s original Elsa – Idina Menzel – also sent Amelia a tweet filled with love in blue and yellow heart emojis.

“We see you. We really, really see you.”
