Intersection

Pepita Williams was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection trying everything to get her car started a hero came along and pushed her safely to the side.

Johannesburg, South Africa – Anytime a car has trouble on the roads, it’s a stressful time, no matter the driver. So when we are faced with car troubles, and good people lend a helping hand, we can’t help but feel hopeful about the country.

Pepita Williams had a terrifying car trouble experience recently. Her car stalled in the middle of a busy intersection, and she was left to sit in the middle of the intersection like a sitting duck.

Thankfully a Good Samaritan saw her and decided to help. Tariq Booley approached Pepita cautiously and explained he wanted to help push her car over to the verge where she would be safer. She agreed and Tariq pushed her car until it was out of harm’s way, off to the side of the intersection.

“This morning I thought would be like any other. I dropped my son at school and came home via Vanguard Drive. My car decided to stall at the intersection of Highlands Drive in the direction of Westgate Mall. I was terrified. And then this young gentleman Tariq Booley stopped to push my car to the verge.”

Once Pepita was safely out of the busy intersection, she was able to thank her Good Samaritan. Tariq told her he wasn’t comfortable leaving her alone on the side of the road and asked if it was ok if he waited until her help arrived. They sat together for an hour before support came, and Pepita was so thankful for the company.

“Too cut a long story short he told me it was dangerous to wait alone. He stayed with me for an hour until help arrived; he even bought me a rope to tow my car. There are real heroes out there. There are not enough words to thank you. May you be blessed.”

Tariq is a hero in our eyes, he went above and beyond to make sure that Pepita was safe.
