women

Lindokuhle Shezi uses his yearly savings to gift bags filled with helpful goodies to the women at the Haven of Hope Homeless Shelter.

The Glenwood High School shared an incredible post about one of their learners. They received an email from Danny Vermaak sending in thanks after hearing about the good deeds that Lindokuhle Shezi has been doing for his own birthday.

Lindokuhle saved all his money and then on his birthday, he spent it all on makeup and toiletries for women in need. He built up little packs that were given to a women’s shelter.

This is the email they received…

“Good morning Mrs Barnes,

I would like to congratulate you and your staff on an excellent job you are doing in raising boys who are respectful and with hearts of gold. In particular, I want to express my gratitude towards this selfless young boy Lindokuhle Shezi who sacrificed all his yearly savings to buy cosmetics and some goodies for all the ladies of Haven of Hope Homeless Shelter during his Birthday on 1 October 2018. I heard that he is one of Glenwood High School boys. With a young man like this, we have a bright future in our country.

Kind Regards,
Danny Vermaak”

The post has inspired so many people. Many have said that reading it left them with tears in their eyes. Nonto Shezi and Sbu Zhezi, Lindokuhle’s parents have been praised for the phenomenal young man they are raising. We agree this story has moved and inspired us.

Lindokuhle is an inspiration to all that read his story and a role model for his fellow students. Just WOW!!! Having a young man take on the cause of caring for women is a step in the right direction for South Africans.
