A first look at Team South Africa’s Olympic kit to be worn by our superstars has been revealed as we count down the days to Paris!
South Africa (24 May 2024) — With less than 100 days to go until the 2024 Paris Olympics, South Africans all over the country are already cracking their necks and practising their cheers for the athletes who will represent Mzansi at the world’s most iconic sporting event. As if officially announcing the first squad of local athletes who will be bringing all the heat to Paris wasn’t exciting enough, we now have a first glance at what our Olympic and Paralympic legends will be wearing as their Olympic kit!
The South African Sports Confederation, Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SASCOC) have teamed up with Mr Price Sport (who were also behind the Tokyo kit) to create the Olympic kit, as revealed a little earlier this week.

Launched at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, inklings as to what the kit might look like were evident in the natural surrounds, as much of the kit is inspired by local landmarks, our flora and fauna and of course, our green and gold blood.
There, the kits made their official debut apt for daily wear as well as technical gear. All the items were made in KwaZulu-natal, and the same design theme will also be showcased in the opening ceremony outfits.
You can find the full list of the first South African squad heading to the Olympics here.
