An anonymous funder is looking to connect with a young man who she had met and who has big dreams of joining the local soccer camp.

Soweto, South Africa (09 May 2024) – The “Pie Lady” has a plea for a young man named Jabulo to reach out to her. The pair met one fateful day and swapped stories. The “Pie Lady”, who has opted to remain anonymous, has shared a post on Facebook, looking for a young man named Jabulo. After hearing his story, she committed to raising funds to help Jabulo get to soccer camp.

Jabulo shared how he was excited for his local soccer camp but couldn’t afford to go. He lives with his granny in Soweto. He knows the Pie Lady, has her number and where she lives, so her hope is he will see her posts and reach out.

“I just want to make this young man’s dream come true.”

The Pie Lady and her friends have been raising the funds he needs to attend soccer camp. Their hope is that by the time they reach Jabulo, they will be able to fully fund his trip and his dream can become a reality.

The hope is that by the power of social media, Jabulo will see the post and get in touch with the Pie Lady. So if you know Jabulo, be sure to share this post with him. You can help towards his dream come true!
