Brad Binder earned his second podium place for the MotoGP 2022 season, placing second at the Japanese MotoGP event this past weekend.
Japan (26 September 2022) – Brad Binder does it again! Brad has earned himself a podium place at the Japanese MotoGP. This is his second podium place for the season, and we are super proud!
Binder started well to take the early lead, but was quickly overtaken by Martin and then Miller as the power of the Ducati factory bike became evident, with Enea Bastianini picking up places behind. Binder went on to battle it out for the second. Miller, Binder and Martin crossed the line with a sizeable gap to the rest as Márquez finished strongly for Repsol Honda in fourth with Portuguese Miguel Oliveira fifth for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
“I’m really, really happy to be back on the podium today. I pushed as hard as I could right from the beginning. I had a few moments with the hard rear tire and it took me a while to find my confidence but in the end we made a good choice because I became more comfortable and could find my braking markers better. It was so difficult to pass Jorge but I arrived at that point on the last lap right at the perfect time in Turn 1. Thank you so much to my team: they all deserve this podium and we have all worked hard for this.” – Brad Binder
