Little local Tristan Summers, a junior tennis star on the rise, recently conquered courts in Florida and emerged as the winner of the ‘Little Mo’ International Championships, making South Africa beam at his achievement:

 

Global (13 December 2023) — Little local Tristan Summers is proudly making his way onward and upward in the world of tennis after the junior tennis star won an international championship for his age group!

At the 17th annual ‘Little Mo’ International Championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Tristan’s games earned him the singles champion title (u11) after emerging victorious over America’s Stanley Oriala Jr with a nail-biting score of 7-5, 6-4.

This was even more of an impressive feat considering that his competitor (and doubles partner in a different event) is the USA’s top-seed.

As a team, Tristan and Stanley were a mighty duo; winning the Doubles title together.

The Little Mo championships in the world of junior tennis is a big deal, where budding tennis talents from around the world face off on competitive courts. Being invited to participate is in and of itself tips is a nod to rising stardom for any young sportsperson; and beckons a taste of a promising future in the sport.

Meanwhile, in other news where young South Africans impressed the world, the world record for the longest beach clean-up ever has been broken thanks to a 21-year-old Capetonian!
