Well-established on the Western Cape’s golf calendar, the Protea Hotels by Marriott Reach for A Dream Golf Day at the Arabella Hotel & Spa near Kleinmond is much sought-after by corporate members of the golfing community.
Rated as one of South Africa’s Top 10 golf courses, the course is set in luscious surroundings, nestled among the beautiful mountain ranges and lagoons of the area.
According to Danny Bryer, the Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management for Protea Hotels by Marriott and African Pride Hotels, “The Arabella Hotel has hosted this event three times previously, and we are thrilled to be able to do so yet again in 2018. The funds raised at the event are used to fulfil the organisation’s goal of encouraging children with life-threatening illnesses to use their dreams to fight their illnesses. It is thus very meaningful for us to know that we are able to contribute to a cause like this.”
The event takes place this year on Friday, 11 May 2018. Golfers can participate by registering a 4-ball for the event, which can accommodate 100 golfers.
“Its popularity is clear in that it has been over-subscribed year-on-year,” Bryer says, highlighting the importance of the day for the funds much needed by the Reach for A Dream Foundation.
“Last year, we raised well over R400 000 for Reach for a Dream, and the funds went a long way to assist the organisation in its work.”
This year, the Golf Day offers something unique for Marriott Rewards members: the opportunity for keen golfers who are members of Marriott Rewards to bid for a spot to play in a 4-ball team. Bidding starts at 10 000 Marriott Rewards points, and Marriott Rewards members can select to bid for one of three magical packages.
The contribution made will help to support Reach For a Dream – and offer a very memorable experience!
In addition to enjoying a day of golf on this superlative South African golf course, the successful bidders for the three Marriott Rewards Moment Packages will be rewarded with an overnight stay at the Arabella Hotel & Spa for two on 11 May. Successful bidders also qualify for a voucher for a complimentary round of golf in the future, and a spa voucher to the value of R750.
