The SA Para-Surfing team from Durban were recently gifted several things to help them while competing at the ISA Worlds Para-surfing Championships in La Jolla, California.
Durban, South Africa (03 March 2020) – The International Surfing Association’s (ISA) 2020 AmpSurf ISA World Para Surfing Championship will be taking place in La Jolla, California from March 11-15 this year.
It is the fifth edition of the world championship event which was previously named the ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship.
The world’s best Para Surfers compete and display their talents in a Paralympic-style, World Championship competition. The team from Durban will be representing South Africa at the championship.
This past week, the team were kitted out to represent SA in the best way! Julia Reader shared how proud she was of the team and Made For More, who has been working to empower the team.

The team were recently hosted by the Blue Marlin Hotel where they were training. The hotel gave them accommodation and hosted a fundraising event to help cover expenses. They also received new surfboards and wetsuits as well as Team SA Blazers and ties.
