The World Football Summit is being hosted on the African continent for the first time and Durban gets the honour of hosting the 1200 delegates.

Durban, South Africa (16 November 2022) – The World Football Summit kicks off on African soil this morning in the City of Durban. The event is being hosted in Africa for the first time.

WFS Africa is the international event for the African football industry, gathering the most influential professionals in order to discuss the most relevant topics and generate business opportunities. For two days, Durban becomes the capital of this thriving industry.

The event is massive, hosting delegates from institutions like LaLiga, Fifa, EUFA, Coca-Cola and so many more. Industry leaders will get to see the stunning landscape Durban has to offer while making decisions for football going forward.

The EThekwini Municipality is excited to be hosting the event.

“The City of Durban will be hosting the World Football Summit Africa on 16 and 17 November. The event is being held for the first time on African soil and is expected to attract 1 200 delegates. As a gathering of leading football business leaders, the summit will benefit local professional and semi-professional football clubs.” – EThekwini Municipality

This is a great accomplishment for the city after everything it has gone through this year, and we wish them the best as they wow visitors with the sights and sounds of KwaZulu-Natal!
