This guy rescued an injured pelican a while back and since then they’ve developed an extremely special, and rare, bond with one another.

After being separated from his flock during a storm, Bigbird the pelican was taken in by the staff at a safari camp in Greystoke Mahale at Nomad Tanzania. Jeffrey, the camp manager, took Bigbird out each morning to fish and developed an unlikely friendship.

The Pelicans in Africa are incredible & can be found near most water sources… the birds are complex but friendly.

Totally amazing and definitely something you don’t see every day.

This GoPro footage captures their bond perfectly as the guy actually teaches the pelican how to fish. The ride together in his canoe and post up together back at the beach shack.
