A woman mistook a DIY substance used for filling gaps around the home with styling mousse – and ended up having the worst ‘bad hair day’ ever.

Accidentally going orange instead of blonde. That ‘quick’ fringe trim that ends halfway up your forehead. Shirley Temple ringlets instead of Victoria’s Secret waves.

We’ve all had terrible DIY hair disasters in the past, but spare a thought for this woman who may have topped them all.

The ultimate bad hair day photo shows a mystery woman who reportedly ended up in A&E after confusing her hair mousse with a can of expanding builder’s foam.

The polyurethane foam expands and sets quickly to fill large gaps around the home.

The woman, said to be from Eastern Europe, apparently confused a cylinder of builder’s foam with her usual can of hair mousse, with disastrous – or for the rest of us hilarious – consequences.

The big mousse-take became an internet hit after it was posted on Facebook by police in the Czech city of Novy Jicin as a warning to others.

But they later deleted the picture after users assumed it was a local resident. “The photo comes from some Russian website,” said chief of police Jiri Klein.

It is not yet known how medics managed to deal with the DIY hair disaster.
