The popular Boulders Beach has made yet another Top 50 Best Beaches list this year and we are not surprised! Its famous residents bring in thousands of tourists each year.

Simon’s Town, South Africa (02 August 2023) – Boulder’s Beach has made yet another list of the best beaches in the world, this time earning the 32nd spot. Earlier this year, the beach was named on the Banana Boat ‘The World’s 50 Best Beaches” list at the 40th spot.

Every year, we celebrate the travel accolades of our most beautiful destinations and Boulders has a habit of earning them year-on-year! In 2021, the beach earned this same accolade, just shortly after the Netflix series Penguin Town made its debut.

Big 7 Travel has released its 2023 list and Boulders is on there alongside some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

“Global travel site Big 7 Travel has released its annual list of ‘The 50 Best Beaches In The World’.

The list is now in its 5th year, using aggregated scores from previous media results, official Blue Flag locations, social media popularity and contributions from the Big 7 Travel editorial team, these are the most amazing beaches to visit this year.

It’s a diverse list, with pink sand covered in crushed seashells, crystalline lagoons and plenty of Islands. From the stunning turquoise waters of Turks and Caicos to the black sand beach in Iceland, consider this your essential beach guide…”

The Big 7 Travel team shared that the beach made the list, not for its white sandy shoreline, but because of its famous inhabitants that call the beach home.

“Boulders Beach is more famous for its inhabitants than its sandy stretches. A whole colony of as many as 3,000 African Penguins nest on the beach. The best time to see them is during the summertime. The cool, clear False Bay water and rock pools are an added bonus.”
