The students of Marist Brothers Linmeyer transformed their school grounds into a wonderland of joy, filled with the sounds of laughter and the spirit of pure fun to bring smiles and much-needed respite to children who often face significant challenges.
Johannesburg, South Africa (27 June 2025) – The learners of Marist Brothers Linmeyer opened their hearts and their campus to 180 “littlies” of Mary Help of Christians and Look Forward Creative Centre as part of Youth Month celebrations.
From hopscotch in the quad and colouring to Lego fun, soccer games, jumping castles and candyfloss, the school was filled with laughter and love, the very things the children from these two vital charities need the most.
Mary Help of Christians serves an underprivileged community offering a fully functional Pre-School and Junior Primary School in Booysens, while Look Forward Creativity Centre has provided quality care, education, counselling and support to abandoned, orphaned and neglected children brought to them or found abandoned.

The day of fellowship and play served as a heartwarming break from the challenges some of these youngsters may have endured. But the true magic was in seeing the Marist Brothers Linmeyer students care for, guide and play with their young visitors, a beautiful reminder of what Youth Day is all about and the power that lies within valuing one another.
“As a Marist school, we believe that education is not only about academic excellence, but about nurturing a deep sense of compassion and responsibility in our students.
“This day was a powerful reminder that when we live out our values, we create space for meaningful transformation, not only within our walls but far beyond them,” the school said.
