From singing Kaptein to quickly switching to Summer of ’69, Neon Dreams hilariously announced their South African tour!

South Africa (01 October 2025) – Canadian alt-pop duo Neon Dreams is giving fans a fun reminder that no matter where you go, home stays close. In a recent video captioned “POV: You’re trying to blend back in with the Canadians but Mzanzi never leaves you”, the band hilariously captured that South African spirit in full swing.

Case in point! You are somewhere overseas, let’s say Canada. Cruising in a car, vibing to the Afrikaans classic Kaptein (Span die Seile) by Kurt Darren. Singing along, fully in the zone, until you notice that a Canadian man is staring you down from the next car. Completely confused! And maybe even judging.

“Change it, Change it, Change it.”

With a guilty glance, the mood changes fast! The playlist goes from Kaptein to Bryan Adams’ Summer of ’69. It’s the ultimate attempt at “blending in” while abroad.

Fans can catch them performing live across the country, with shows lined up throughout the month of October. South Africa’s rising star Booshle G and New York’s BYRNE will join the tour, bringing an international flair to ten unforgettable shows. Do not worry, it’s the perfect chance to experience the duo’s music in person. So go sing along to the tracks that caught them ‘red-handed’ in the car, without anyone judging your taste.
