Across South Africa, schools are celebrating the Class of 2025 with heartfelt Valedictory services that mark not only the end of an academic chapter but also the beginning of new journeys, dreams, and responsibilities beyond the school gates.

 

South Africa (20 October 2025) – As the academic year winds down and final exams begin, schools across South Africa are holding heartfelt Valedictory services. Marking not just the end of a chapter, but the beginning of new journeys into the “real world.”

Here’s how some schools celebrated their Class of 2025.

1. Bridge House School – Ringing Out with Heart and Tradition

Few traditions are as symbolic as Bridge House’s beloved “Ringing Out” ceremony. The entire school community lined the Founders’ Walk to cheer on the Matrics as they took their final steps as pupils. Each ring of the bell echoed pride, love, and a shared sense of accomplishment. It was a farewell filled with warmth, reflection, and the unmistakable Bridge House spirit.

2. Bishops Diocesan College – Pride and Lifelong Bonds

At Bishops, the Valedictory service was steeped in emotion and tradition as the Matric boys donned their Number 1s for the last time. It was a moment of looking back on five unforgettable years and looking ahead to new adventures. The sense of unity and brotherhood reminded everyone that once you’re part of the Bishops family, you’re always part of it.

3. Hout Bay High – Shining Bright Before Exams

Hout Bay High celebrated its Class of 2025 with gratitude and encouragement. The ceremony was a heartfelt send-off filled with pride and joy as teachers, parents, and learners reflected on the journey so far. With final exams around the corner, the school encouraged them that hard work is done, now it’s time to shine.

4. New Eisleben High School – A Celebration of Growth

For New Eisleben High, this year’s Valedictory was was a celebration of endurance. The Class of 2025 began their high school journey during the pandemic, earning them the affectionate title of “Covid babies.” Their story is one of perseverance and triumph. The day was filled with inspiring words, stunning décor, and pride in how far the learners and the school have come.
