Family Road trips

From drawing invisible lines between seats to siblings pushing each other’s buttons, Lerisha Storm perfectly sums up the universal experience of travelling together for just a little too long.

South Africa (17 December 2025) – We have all been on a road trip with siblings, and if you haven’t yet, South African content creator Lerisha Storm shows a hilariously accurate preview of what travelling with family really looks like.

Lerisha captures the unspoken chaos of long hours in a confined space, where personal boundaries slowly disappear and patience wears thinner with every kilometre.

The video follows two siblings navigating the emotional rollercoaster of a family road trip. At one point, tensions rise so high that a literal line is drawn between the seats. So, you stay on your side and I will stay on mine.

Throughout the clip, the siblings repeatedly tell each other to “stop it”, a phrase that we’re all familiar with on any long drive. This will always followed by a warning from the front seat: “If you don’t stop, I’ll pull this car over.”

The expressions and energy will feel very familiar to anyone who’s ever been stuck on a family holiday or a festive-season road trip.
