D&P Cricket teams up with Proteas all-rounder George Linde to celebrate and support three young players making waves in schools and provincial cricket.
Cape Town, South Africa (29 January 2026) – Investing in tomorrow’s cricket stars is what keeps the game alive and thriving. D&P Cricket, together with Proteas star George Linde, recently celebrated three rising talents, giving them recognition and support as they continue to make waves on the field.
Giving back to the game goes far beyond equipment and coaching. They are looking to encourage character and the drive to succeed. And these three young cricketers embody all of that and more.
D&P Cricket says supporting these young athletes is a joy and hope to celebrate even more athletes.
“We’re proud to play a small role in your journeys and wish you nothing but success moving forward. This is what growing the game looks like.”

Spotlight on the Rising Talents
From the streets of Pelican Park comes a 14-year-old talent who’s already turning heads. Hamzah Esau’s dedication has earned him a Jacques Kallis Cricket Scholarship at Wynberg Boys’ High School, and his standout performances for Victoria Cricket Club have cemented his reputation.
In the heart of Khayelitsha, 16-year-old Esihle Mazinyane is making a name for himself. His consistent displays with the WP U16 team and his growing presence in school cricket show a young player ready to take on bigger challenges at the SA20 schools tournament.
And in Pniel, 21-year-old Giselle Abrahams continues to shine in women’s cricket. Having started at just 12 with Coronation Ladies, she’s now representing the SWD Badgers Ladies and proudly wore the South Africa U19 jersey two years ago.
Through initiatives like this, cricket in South Africa continues to grow. The game develops off the field by lifting up the players who will shape the future of South African cricket.
