Refiloe, who is a bestselling author, has always felt passionate about sharing stories that bring out the best of the human spirit. She has penned many children’s books; included in her works is the book “All of these things are important to me”, which helps raise awareness for ADHD and was featured by us in 2019.

Growing up in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, Refiloe obtained a B.Comm degree in Information Systems from the University of Witwatersrand, which she pursued in the corporate world, but she has since become a full-time writer.

Her passion for storytelling is evident when you read the latest series. These stories are designed to foster a love for reading while exploring themes of community, curiosity, and the joy of everyday South African life.

Katlego “Kat” Keokgale echoes Refiloe’s passion for children’s books. She hopes to inspire many more black creatives to pursue children’s book illustration and grow the industry because there are so many amazing stories that need to be told.
