Limpopo’s Jumping Kids para-athletes raced into the record books with a string of medals at this year’s SASAPD National Championships, showing what’s possible when potential meets support and opportunity!
Limpopo, South Africa (21 April 2026) – Jumping Kids takes pride in empowering children living with limb mobility challenges by providing them with the prosthetic tools and support they need to live full, active lives. It is a mission that has restored dignity, broken barriers, enabled movement, turned dreams into reality, and, most recently, led to record-breaking achievements at this year’s Toyota SASAPD National Championships in Stellenbosch.
This week, Jumping Kids paid tribute to its Limpopo beneficiaries by celebrating their remarkable results at the national athletics event that saw under-20 T/F 61 division athlete, Vhuthuhawe Nemutandani, execute an excellent performance by winning 100m track-chair gold, discus gold, and javelin throw gold for his province!
“This year marks Vhuthu’s first attempt at racing in a ‘track chair’ – a specifically designed racing wheelchair used in Para athletics. We are very proud to hear about the responsible way in which he looked after the track chair that was assigned to him, and the way he took responsibility for the tools and equipment that had to accompany the three track chairs and the field chairs that were sent with the team,” the team said.
A duo from Hoedspruit Christian School, T61 athlete Miracle Malatji, and under-14 T63 athlete Junior Mukansi, both showed tremendous growth this year.
Miracle, who had to compete in the under-17 age group due to the programme and other factors, secured an incredible 100m bronze, 200m bronze, and long jump silver despite being much younger.
Junior Mukansi sealed the deal by achieving 100m gold, 200m gold, and long jump gold for Limpopo in his under-14 T63 division.
Another Limpopo learner on the Jumping Kids educational programme, Ndieni Netshivhambe, added his magic for the province’s medals tally by winning 100m silver, discus gold, shotput gold, and javelin throw gold in his division.

Each athlete poured their heart into every race, earning well-deserved accolades for their outstanding performances. Their triumphs on the podium not only celebrate their sporting achievements but also shine as inspiring examples of what is possible when talent and potential are met with empowering support.
“Congratulations to all four lads!! A remarkable achievement all round and plenty of medals to help Limpopo to its overall second place at the 2025 edition of SA’s,” Jumping Kids congratulated.
