The Ndlovu Youth Choir just performed their version of Bohemian Rhapsody with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, and it’s flippen fantastic!
London, United Kingdom (30 September 2026) – Last year, the Ndlovu Youth Choir took one of the biggest songs in rock history – Bohemian Rhapsody – and reimagined it entirely in isiZulu.
This week, they got to perform their incredible version of the hit song alongside Queen’s very own Brian May and Roger Taylor at the Roundhouse in London!
“What an incredible and special night in London!” the group wrote, after their performance. “It was a joy sharing the stage with the legendary Roger Taylor and performing our own version of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to a packed crowd at the Roundhouse. The evening was made extra special by a surprise performance with Brian May! uBaba Roger, you rock…” it added.

Ndlovu Youth Choir’s version of the song was released last year, but it took almost two years to pull off. Every lyric had to be translated and reworked in a way that kept the rhythm, emotion and drama of the original hit. They did an absolutely impeccable job of pulling off its biggest project yet.
And now, in a ‘dream come true’, they’ve performed their African rendition alongside two of the very legends who brought Bohemian Rhapsody to the world.
To add to the excitement, the Ndlovu Youth Choir recently confirmed that they will be collaborating with Roger Taylor on his new album.
“What began with our release of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen has blossomed into a collaboration on his new album, and now a live performance together. What a beautiful journey it has been.” the group wrote.

The choir is now in London after recently wrapping up a sold-out run of shows at the AFAS Theater in Leusden, Netherlands. It also completed a South African tour earlier in the year.
