Bob the Bear travels the world with his mom, underwater photographer Tracey Jennings. Recently the pair were traveling in Cape Town when Bob went missing.
Bob the Bear is kind of Insta-famous but not as much as his award winning wildlife and underwater photographer mom, Tracey Jennings. They travel the world together and Bob gets to see some amazing sights.
Sadly while in Cape Town recently, Bob the Bear went missing. Tracey started sharing on social media in the hope of finding him but nobody has come forward.
Bob and Tracey have been inseparable for over 25 years. Bob was gifted to Tracey when she was in university, her roommate had given Bob to her before he passed away. So Bob has some serious sentimental value.
Tracey is only in South Africa for one more day so her chances of being reunited with Bob are becoming smaller. When she first lost him she made the reward R1,000 but as she is getting desperate now she upped it to $500 which works out to around R6,500.
“I know he is just a teddy bear but he was a gift from one of my greatest friends and flatmates at University who subsequently committed suicide. He was supposed to watch over me .. and I over him. It was the last thing my friend said to me. Travelling with Bob was like Robert still being around.”
Tracey believes that the more people hear her story, the higher the chances of Bob finding his was home again. If you have seen Bob you can contact Tracey here. Let’s get everyone talking about Bob! See some of his adventures below.
