‘Kiff Bru Projects’ was launched by Kate du Toit as a way for charities to receive some awesome donations from the public through a gift registry platform.
Kiff Bru Projects is a gift registry service that helps underfunded organisations achieve their goals through the donation of gift packages.
There are currently three charities registered on the website. They have already received many donations thanks to the platform.
KBP focuses on easy, affordable and secure giving opportunities in 3 important categories in South Africa: Health, Education and Animal Welfare. We research and select one organisation per category and focus specifically on their requirements for the year. Whether it’s a school needing supplies for their learners, a clinic or underfunded animal shelter, KBP works with each organisation to determine what they need in order for it to improve their conditions and remain operational.
Maitland Cottage Hospital
Maitland Cottage Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital is one of two Paediatric Orthopaedic Hospitals in South Africa. Their facility specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of children with physical disability due to disease or accident.
The hospital has items on their registry that includes: nappies, basic toiletries, sanitary pads, school supplies and funds to go towards transport, water recycling mechanisms and borehole installation
Ukama Community Foundation
The Ukama Foundation provides support to creches and small-scale education facilities that are not supported by government or any other NPOs. The supply cooking equipment, food, Easter and Christmas Packs and support to the registration NPO called True North. They also aim to provide Educational equipment, toys and books when able to be sourced through donations.
The organisation has items on their registry that includes: puzzles, books, stationery, educational toys and funds to go towards portable classrooms.
Animal Anti-Cruelty League
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League Cape Town (AACL-CT), was established on the 1st May 1969. It is a charitable organization, entirely supported by voluntary donations. They help protect animals in the Cape Town area.
The organisation has items on their registry that includes: dog food, cat food, hygiene packages, veterinary packages and pet essential packages which are filled with toys, beds and more.
