The Elsen Academy Class of 2020 were undeterred by the challenges and obstacles of the global pandemic and were able to achieve a 100% pass rate.
Gqeberha, South Africa (28 February 2021) – Elsen Academy, a small independent school in Central, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), registered with the Education Department, caters for children with learning barriers.
The school follows the CAPS curriculum, and learners are encouraged to be the best that they can be. Aided by the use of various therapies (occupational, speech, remedial) in small classes and supported by dedicated and caring staff, learners are guided through their school career from Grade 1 to Grade 12.
The Class of 2020 were undeterred by the challenges and obstacles of the global pandemic. These resilient learners quickly adapted to remote learning and were able to return to on-site daily academic school activities as soon as legislation permitted.
All six matriculants were named as prefects for 2020 and were a guiding light to their fellow learners throughout the tough year they all faced. Always friendly, respectful and uncomplaining, they led from the front and were an outstanding example to everyone in the school.
The school is extremely proud of its achievements. Three students achieved bachelor passes, with three achieving A’s for Tourism.
We wish them well in their future careers. For them, as in their school’s motto: There are no limits to learning!
