You have to love South Africans and their ingenuity. After a week of funny memes, jokes and listings… ‘The Saxonwold Shebeen’ will officially be opening its doors!

For the last week, the twittersphere has been aflood with searches and questions about the infamous Saxonwold Shebeen. Why isn’t it on Google Maps? How much is a Johnny Black? Do they serve Gordhan’s Gin? Is it bring and bribe?

All these questions and more will be answered for the first time when the Saxonwold Shebeen opens it’s doors to the public.

Twin Peak Projects have created an online event where the Saxonwold Shebeen will be opening its doors… for the first time!

Twin Peaks Projects has decided to partner with Green Beings, a Non-profit organization that focuses on the rejuvenation of any environmental area in need of help.

Their events feature special ticket options where a donation from every green ticket purchased are donated to the Green Beings foundation. Also, they usually have a special cocktail at the events which all profits get donated to Green Beings too!

So it’s a win-win situation. We get to experience the Saxonwold Shebeen while the environment gets rejuvenated too!

The doors open tomorrow… apparently for one night only!

Visit the event listing to get all the details, but here’s a taster in the mean time:
