Cathy Shaw shared a video and images of the Eikenhof Dam opening its gates to allow water to be released to the City of Cape Town. The deafening roar of the water is making us incredibly happy.

 

The Eikenhof Dam near Grabouw has opened its gates and is sending water to the City of Cape Town. People have seen the video and images and have been sending their thank you’s in fast and steady. The comment section has been flooded with love.

The act of kindness was pure generosity and according to the commentors, the Eikenhof dam received no funding or payment to release this water.

Since Cathy has shared the video (11:45 am, 6th February 2018) the video has just about gone viral with over 130,000 views in less than three hours. Watch the video below.
