The comedian’s dance to Lyfie sparked hilarious reactions, with social media debating whether the rhythm was simply doing too much.

South Africa (30 January 2026) – Comedian and content creator Thandile Ndile had timelines buzzing after sharing a video of himself dancing very confidently and very on rhythm to “Lyfie”, the Afrikaans hit by Bernice West. The clip was captioned jokingly poking fun at the ongoing joke about white people dancing to Amapiano.

What made the moment land wasn’t just the song choice, but how seriously Thandile took the choreography. The dance was too good for some viewers and the comments section wasted no time letting him know.

“If you’re going to dance like white people, you need less rhythm,” one user joked, while another admitted, “I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this! When those lyrics kicked in, I was like noooo.”

While many people were introduced to Lyfie through viral clips of Klein Kwagga (Dirkco Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen) who previously stole hearts and timelines with his energetic performances, Thandile’s take gave the song a fresh spin that clearly resonated with the audience.

Amid the jokes and playful teasing, Jannes Erasmus, Bernice West’s husband, joined the conversation. In a heartfelt comment, he shared how unexpected and special it was to see the song connect people.

The video sparked the laughs, and proved that while music can bring people together, rhythm will always be negotiable. And in this case, discussed in the comment sections.
