Happy Hours Nursery School prepares for 2026, after a challenging year, with renewed hope, ready classrooms and a call for community support.

South Africa (14 January 2026) – After a challenging year, the team behind Happy Hours, a charity nursery school run by One Small Act of Kindness, is stepping into 2026 with renewed energy, fresh classrooms and big hopes for the little lives they support every day. While 2025 tested the resilience of the school, giving up was never an option. Especially knowing just how vital this safe, nurturing space is for so many children.

The school is now fully prepped and ready for the new year, looking bright, welcoming and filled with excitement for what lies ahead. For the educators and caregivers, the real reward comes from watching young minds grow, explore and develop in an environment built on care, patience and love. Every classroom, activity and routine plays a role in shaping confident, curious little learners.

As the school prepares for the year ahead, community support remains essential. There are several ways to get involved, from sponsoring a child at R350 per month, to donating stationery, art supplies and learning materials that help bring lessons to life. The school is also seeking practical items such as carpets for classrooms, gross motor equipment, activity containers, groceries for the tough January period, sandpit salt and outdoor green paint to enhance play spaces.

Happy Hours Nursery School believes that with collective effort, 2026 can be a year of growth, stability and opportunity for every child who walks through its doors. No matter the contribution, big or small, it helps build a safe and supportive foundation for young learners to thrive.
