The little shop that could has expanded, with more space for treasures!
Johannesburg, South Africa (03 March 2026) – Same address, more space for gems! After celebrating its first birthday, the Randburg SPCA’s Linden charity shop has upsized, moving right next door into a bigger, more spacious home.
“We are still at 33 5th Street but in a bigger, more spacious store. Only made possible by this amazing community’s support! Please help us help those without a voice!” shared the Randburg SPCA.
Every rand spent in the shop goes directly towards fighting animal cruelty and supporting animals in underprivileged areas – which means your R50 find could mean the world to a creature who has no voice of their own.
Thrifting is a smart way to shop, and more people are waking up to that. Buying second-hand slows the cycle of consumerism, feels a lot like treasure hunting, and is friendly on your pockets. With organisations like the SPCA that run charity shops to keep the doors open for others, you’ll know that every rand is going where it makes a difference.
The Randburg SPCA’s expanded space in Linden opens up more space for donated goods, more variety, and more chances to find something to add to your home collection. The shop sells and accepts a mix of clothing, homeware, furniture, kitchen bits, books, bric-a-brac, and other gems.
You’ll find the new shop (same street, bigger digs!) at 33 5th Street, Linden. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:30, and Saturdays 9:00-3:00.
The Linden charity store is one of the SPCA’s two shops – the other shop is based on the organisation’s premises in Northumberland.
