Toto

The worlds largest school choir had 7800 children performing Toto’s Africa. Each night, between 5,000-8,000 children perform as a single choir to a sold-out audience of family and friends. Their performance was incredible.

Kae Skinner Sera shared an incredible video on her Facebook account. The video was filmed at the O2 in the United Kingdom and featured 7800 children singing Toto’s famed song ‘Africa’.

Kae shared the video with all her friends in Cape Town along with an encouraging message about the rains to come. We got full body chills hearing that many voices singing such an amazing song.

We had to know what it was for so we emailed the O2 and asked what the children were singing for. They responded and told us about the ‘Young Voices’ choir. It is the largest school choir in the world.

“For the past 20 years, Young Voices has staged the largest children’s choir concerts in the world. Over 2 million children have taken part in a Young Voices concert and we believe passionately in inspiring the next generation to find their love for music”

The choir is currently performing their 2018 concert, it was at this concert that Kae’s grandson sang. 2018 has been the biggest year to date, over 150k children are involved. Watch the video below.

“Cape Town friends – tonight my grandson Riley was one of 7800 children singing Africa at the o2 in London. Rain will be coming your way if these kids have anything to do with it. My eyes are watering already #proudgranny”
