This year, The Cows are brimming with energy and enthusiasm, eager to rally more individuals to join their cause to bring hope to countless youngsters courageously facing cancer.
South Africa (19 January 2025) – The start of a new year often brings a renewed sense of ambition and motivation to tackle new goals, become a better version of ourselves, adopt healthier habits and immerse in meaningful projects or causes.
The Cows have embraced this spirit and are taking charge of 2025 by embarking on a mission to raise some serious moola for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA.
Founded in 2008 by a group of eight passionate cyclists, The Cows was born from a desire to make a difference. Inspired by the tragic loss of Kerrin and Grant Bain’s 20-month-old daughter, Jessica, to cancer, they decided to dedicate their cycling efforts to supporting CHOC, an organisation that had provided compassion and support to the family during their difficult journey.
This year the Cows are ready to dive into 2025 with the energy of a baby cow that just discovered its legs!

The herd is rallying more and more people to join their mission to raise much-needed funds to make a huge difference in the lives of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer.
Whether you’re planning a moo-rathon or looking to beef up your fundraising skills, the compassionate cycling club is here to support and cheer for you every step of the way.
By joining The Cows, you can become part of something truly special, contributing to a brighter future for children battling cancer.
