Goodmass bus driver RAK Durban

A bus driver in Durban anonymously performed a random act of kindness and it was caught on a cctv camera.

Durban, South Africa – Vanessa Tedder was sitting outside her bakery when an event that renewed her faith in humanity unfolded in front of her eye’s.

“It’s easy to think that it’s all doom and gloom in South Africa but everyday ordinary folk are quietly doing exceptionally kind deeds” – Vanessa Tedder

The bus stopped opposite Vanessa’s bakery same as always but on this day something beautifully moving happened.

The bus driver let off an elderly passenger and then disembarked the bus to help the elderly passenger cross the road.

“We sat outside our little bakery in Cowey Road in Durban and watched this municipal bus driver get off his bus to help one of his elderly passengers safely cross the road.”

Vanessa could not believe what she had witnessed, an act of kindness so pure and genuine, that she had to check if it was documented.

“We were so moved we immediately went to our CCTV cameras to retrieve and save this to share and inspire others!”

The bus driver acted on his own morals, completely unaware of the impact his actions would have on Vanessa and any other person who watches this video. The moment was random and luckily caught on camera.

“The bus driver didn’t have to … but that he did and that there are countless more selfless South Africans who are literally lending others a helping hand restores hope that the spirit of Ubuntu is all around us and is worth celebrating and reminding ourselves that Madiba may be gone but his legacy of love and unity lives!”
