Yolanda’s first-ever run in a pageant proves she’s a shining star!

Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal (08 September 2025) – Yolanda Ngubane, a six-year-old grade 2 learner, has just won five title sashes in her first-ever pageant!

The young lady, who hails from Pietermaritzburg, entered the finals for Miss Supremacy earlier this year. She rocked all of her tasks, which included advocating for a cause close to her heart.

That cause was to fight against bullying.

In a finalist video uploaded to social media by the pageant in August, we see a young Yolanda sharing her plight to put an end to a problem that pops up everywhere, and in every school.

“I advocate against bullying, it’s not the right thing to do,” she says, standing firm in her words. “Because we need to fight against bullying. If you see somebody being bullied, report them. Let’s be a buddy not a bully.”

Ngubane’s charm and talent wowed the judges at the finals last week and won her six certificates, five title sashes, and three beautiful crowns.

She accepted her well-earned titles as Miss Supremacy KZN Queen, Public Choice Queen, Social Butterfly Queen, Congeniality Queen and Miss SSA 2nd Runner-Up!

Yolanda’s school, Longmarket Girls’ School, shared pride in their shining star pupil:

“We are so proud of you, Yolanda – what an outstanding achievement!”
